2005 models- advanced notice to upgrade fast!
Pace launched its new 2005 model range at Eurobike in September. Now they're ready for production so we're able to give definitive specifications. These will be posted within a few days when the studio photographs are developed, however as a little taster this is what you can expect...
RC31. What can you say about the RC31 that hasn't already been said in every test it has won. Proven around the world as the only ultralight XC fork, the RC31 can hack the gnarliest of trails and still tip the scales below the 700g mark. Totally reliable, simple and cool.
RC39XC. Ultralight 100mm travel fork designed for XC and marathon where durability, low maintenance and slick, fatigue reducing performance is required. Hollowform slider, aluminium 28.6 dia stanchions, remote lockout, open lube system and damper blowoff are the key features.
RC40XCFR. The 130mm travel coil sprung RC40 continues to offer huge spec', great features like Launch Control & Travel Express plus proven reliability with minimal maintenance. Lightweight, stiff and strong the RC40 has been voted best long travel fork by What Mountain Bike magazine and won fork shootouts around the world.
RC40 fighter. Brand new for '05 the fighter is the long travel version of the RC40XCFR. Designed for long travel trail bikes the fighter model has a higher modulus slider so it can run 200mm discs, heavier duty crown to support the increased fork length and of course an additional 20mm of travel.
RC41 XCFR. Take the RC40 fork, known for its high performance, specification and light weight, remove the 200gram coil spring system and replace it with, well nothing, and what do you get? The RC41- the worlds lightest and stiffest 130mm travel fork. Air sprung using our totally reliable 'isolation chamber' design the RC41 is the supreme XC fork.
RC41 fighter. For the legions of guys who want a full 6in travel trail bike that dosen't have a fork which weighs more than the frame, the RC41 fighter has little competition. Armed with Launch Control, stiffer and stronger crown/slider the fighter gives 150mm of smooth travel and full external damping control.
