Pace 2001 Model Recall.

This applies to the following Serial Numbers:    RC36 up to RC20937 & RC38 up to AF20237        (NB RC31 not numbered, check steerer diameter)

A material fault in the steerer tube fitted to these models may result in the complete failure of the tube. Failure of this part may result in severe injury. Steerer can be identified by having an internal diameter of 25.4mm or more. This only applies to 2001 models manufactured before July 11 2001.
This Recall Notice was first issued 11 July 2001 to all customers on record, their supplying dealers and distributors as well as all cycle press. However our records show that some customers have still not returned their fork to have the steerer uprated with a new part.

If this Recall applies to you do not ride this product. It is your responsibility to return the fork to the supplying dealer or Pace Cycles once aware of this notice.
